Chocolate-Hazelnut Banana Fro-Yo Bites

What goes better together than bananas and peanut butter? That same combination — with the add-ons of chocolate-hazelnut spread and vanilla yogurt! This healthy sweet treat is a cinch to make ahead, and store in the freezer.

Break these out when the family settles in for movie night at home — or grab and go in the morning as a fast breakfast! This guilt-free indulgence is just 118 calories per serving, with 16 g carbohydrates, zero cholesterol, 6 g fat (3 saturated), 2 g fiber, 33 g sodium, and 10 g sugar, plus 220 mg potassium.


(Serves 10; two banana bites each)

3 large bananas

1/4 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread

1/4 cup natural* (or regular) peanut butter

1/4 cup non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice bananas into bite-sized chunks. In a small bowl, stir together chocolate-hazelnut spread, peanut butter, and yogurt. Spread a dollop of the mixture on a banana slice, and top with another banana slice to form a banana sandwich. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining bananas. Freeze banana bites for two hours. Transfer to an airtight container, and store in the freezer.

*Natural peanut butter is the better choice, as it will have less (or no) sugar added, compared to regular peanut butter. (Substituting ingredients will alter nutritional values.)
